Great dental practices rely on a superior staff. Our team members work
well with their colleagues to solve problems, which enable Dr. Remmers
to stay focused on the patients. Dentistry is a precise practice, so
our team members must pay expert attention to detail.
Along with staff training, Remmers Dental Group team members accompany Dr. Remmers to training
seminars. Their skills must be perpetually improved in order to properly
assist Dr. Remmers. Our dental staff consists of four hygienists and

Theresa, Financial Coordinator:
Theresa received a business degree from KY Tech and has over 20 years experience in financing, insurance and accounting. In her spare time, Theresa enjoys spending time with her family and granddaughter. |

Rebecca, Schedule Coordinator:
Rebecca began dental assisting at the age of 15. Now, she enjoys being at the other end of the office. She coordinates the schedule and develops new patient relationships. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Speech and Telecommunications in 1994. She also completed her Master’s Certification at the University of Illinois in 2000.
Rebecca is the busy mother of 4 children: 3 daughters and 1 son. They are her favorite pastime. She loves IU basketball, reading, shopping and cooking. |

Leta, Administrative Assistant:
Leta has 25 years of experience in medical and dental offices, and 13 of those years have been with us! Leta spends most of her time outside of the office with her family and four grandchildren. She is also interested in traveling around the country, crossword puzzles and taking daily walks. |

Ginger, Hygiene Coordinator:
Ginger attended Morehead State University and Spencerian College where she received a degree in fashion merchandising. She has over 9 years experience in the dental field, being a stay at home mom for the past 6 years.
She and her husband, Todd, enjoy spending time with their children, Ethan and Emma. They enjoy going to sporting events, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Leah, Dental Assistant:
Leah has more than 30 years in the dental field. She has an associate’s degree and a dental assisting degree from Flint Community College. She has attended many continuing education courses over the years, including the Pac-Live cosmetic course. She has been with our office 10 years, coming from California as a registered dental assistant. Leah has two grown sons and 2 grandchildren out West which she visits as often as she can.

Jeannie, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant:
Jeannie graduated from the dental assisting program at Meade Co.
Vocational-Technical School in 1978. She is an advocate about staying
ahead of the dental industry through continuing education. So,
Jeannie has attended the Expanded Duties Dental Assistants Course
at the University of Louisville, the PAC-Live Cosmetic Course and
the American Orthodontic Straight Wire Assistants’ Course.
When Jeannie is not practicing in the field of dentistry, she
is hunting, fishing, boating and drag racing. |

Kristin, Expanded Duties Dental Assistant:
In 2006, Kristin completed the Dental Assisting Program at the ATA Career Education Center and the Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (E.D.D.A) program at the University of Louisville.
In her spare time, Kristin loves spending time with her daughter, Reagen and her husband, Matt. She also has two dogs and loves to watch U of L basketball! Go Cards! |

Sherry. Expanded Duties Dental Assistant:
Sherry has been in the dental field since 1985. In 1987, she received her EDDA certification from the University of Louisville. She has attended numerous continuing education courses over the years, including the American Orthodontic Straight wire Assistant’s course. Sherry loves to work with the CEREC, designing crowns at our office in one visit.
When relaxing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons. She enjoys camping, scrapbooking and shopping. |

Theresa. Expanded Duties Dental Assistant:
Theresa has been a dental assistant for 3 years. She completed the Dental Assisting Program at ATA Career Education and the Expanded Duty Dental Assistant program at U of L. Before dental assisting, Theresa spent 12 years on the other side of the desk as an administrative assistant.
Theresa has been with her partner for more than 10 years, and has 2 sons: the oldest, a paramedic and the youngest, a soldier in the National Guard. She loves to laugh, read good books, watch scary movies and dabbles in photography.

Sandy, Registered Dental Hygienist:
Sandy graduated from the University of Louisville as a dental hygienist in 1987. Sandy has been a part of our time since 2001. She is also certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia.
When Sandy is not participating in the field of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve and their daughter, Hannah. |

Amy,
Registered Dental Hygienist:
Amy graduated from the University of Louisville as a dental hygienist in 1987, and has been a part of our team ever since. Amy has recently been certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia.
Amy likes to play tennis, ride bikes and spend time with her two children. |

Angela, Register Dental Hygienist
Angie was born and raised in Louisville. She started in the dental profession as an assistant. She went on to graduate from the University of Louisville in 1995 and has been practicing dental hygiene ever since. In her spare time Angela enjoys playing with her two Labrador retrievers, but most of her time is spent raising her toddler and new baby. |

Christie,
Registered Dental Hygienist:
Christie received her status as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant as well as an Orthodontist Assistant from Kentucky Tech. She returned to school to become a dental hygienist. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 2002. Christie is certified to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia.
In her extra time, Christie enjoys spending family time with her husband and son. She loves to play soccer and likes to do crafts. |
