Dr. Steve Remmers
Dr. Steve Remmers is a 1989 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He entered private practice with his father, Dr. Kenneth Remmers, that same year.
Dr. Remmers is a 2000 and 2002 graduate of the prestigious PAC~live (Pacific Aesthetic Continuum) program in San Francisco. This is an intensive live-patient program concentrating on cosmetic smile design and reconstruction. He completed the most advanced levels of this continuum.
In 2002, Dr. Steve completed training for conscious sedation through the DOCS program (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation) to be able to offer sedation as a option for patient treatment. Dr. Steve has lectured nationally in advanced cosmetic and implant techniques.
Dr. Remmers has always been actively involved in organized dentistry throughout his career. He has serve on many committees and positions with the Louisville Dental Society and the Kentucky Dental Association. He is one of the few dentists to have served as the president of the Louisville Dental Society (2006-2007).
Dr. Remmers has been certified in Invisalign®, the “invisible braces” since 2002. Since that time he has become the top provider of Invisalign® among all general practitioners in Kentucky, improving the smiles of many satisfied patients with this easy, painless method of straightening teeth.
Believing in the importance of keeping up on the latest trends in dentistry, Dr. Remmers attends an average of 75-100 hours a year in continuing education (the minimum for licensure is 15 hours a year). He regularly travels wherever necessary to attend the best education dentistry has to offer.
When not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Steve shares his life with his wife, Shauna, and two children, Sydney and Seth. He attempts the occasional golf round and stays involved in the community, having served as president of the Fern Creek Rotary Club.

Dr. Kenneth Remmers
Dr. Ken graduated from the University of Louisville with a B. A. in biology in 1960 before entering the world of dentistry. Dr. Ken graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1964. After serving in the Air Force for 2 years, he entered private practice in 1966. Since then Dr. Ken has developed his practice into a friendly, relationship-oriented style.
Dr. Ken is an active member of the Louisville Dental Society and the Kentucky Dental Association, serving on several committees and serving as the exhibit chairman for the annual KDA convention. He is also a member of the American Dental Association.
When not enjoying dentistry, Dr. Ken spends his life with his wife, Janet, his five children and 13 grandchildren. He enjoys working in his garden, biking and traveling.
